Enrique Alfaro Ramírez, governor of Jalisco, declared he is in favor of the development of new real estate projects in the metropolis, as long as they are carried out in an orderly fashion, in compliance with the law and with sustainability.
He says that new planning tools are currently being promoted to guarantee a better quality of life among the inhabitants, citing the Peribús project as an example.
“We are going to achieve a comprehensive mobility project with a BRT system in the center. If Line 3 of the electric train will move 230,000 passengers per day, the Sistema Peribús Articulado (Peribus Articulated System) would have more than 400,000 trips per day. That type of work will change the dynamics of the city.”
He stresses that his priority is to work hand in hand with the private sector to maintain competitiveness, despite cuts in the state budget.
“We started the year with many challenges, including having a reduced budget for infrastructure. However, we will work with the municipalities to achieve the projects that are needed in Jalisco.” —Enrique Alfaro Ramírez, governor of Jalisco.
